Queen Funeral Notification 12th Sep 2022

Dear Parent/Carer

Following approval from King Charles III and in recognition of the State Funeral of The Queen, Monday 19 September has been declared a bank holiday.

Please do not send your child to school that day.

In the meantime, normal attendance at school during this, the period of National Mourning, is expected. The mourning period will end after the State Funeral.

We pay tribute to The Queen’s remarkable seven decades of selfless service and devotion.

We are aware, however, that bereavement can be unsettling. Please let us know if there is any way you feel we might be able to alleviate any concerns.
