Christmas Time – Special Time

Sometimes it is only when we take a breath and look back, that we see or admire the importance of a particular  occasion or a period of time in our calendar.

Christmas time is one such time and for so many reasons, whether it is as a community, as a family or as an individual. It is almost as though Christmas is as an excuse to do different things, to have fun and celebrate having fun and embrace the time for sharing with seemingly fewer constraints. Perhaps we should do it more!

As you scroll through the photographs and events in school, mentally collate which ones are great for the community, for the family or for the individual.

‘Meaning of Christmas’ assembly      Older & younger pupils read together   Alternative advent for community issues

Making seasonal calendars           Entertaining at our Senior Citizens Tea Party   Elf hunting in forest schools.

Singing ‘We Wish it Could be Christmas’  Christingles for the service        Visiting the panto at our secondary school    to our Ebor Schools and communities

KS2 Christmas Carol Services       Writing Christmas messages to Spanish partners   Special Christmas craft sessions

All these in addition to the amazing Nativity Production by our Foundation Stage 2 pupils, a school Christmas Fayre, a puppetry performance of A Christmas Carol (opening photograph), a family visit into Foundation Stage 1, a delicious Christmas dinner and a special Xmas Talent Factor held to celebrate our pupil’s talents.

What a wonderful time!
