Computing lessons at Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy aim to prepare our children for a constantly changing technological world driven by the internet and tablet devices. Investment in Chromebooks across school has boosted student’s capabilities of learning anyplace and anytime. Online access in a safe environment has significantly broadened the scope of any learning exercise, triggering information pursuit, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.
The skills and concepts are broadly under the headings: Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT) and Digital Literacy (DS).
- Computer Science: Logical Reasoning and Solving Problems Through Coding
- Information Technology: Search, Collect, Design and Evaluate Information
- Digital Literacy: Use Technology Responsibly and safely, Recognise acceptable and unacceptable Behaviour, Identify how to Raise Concerns, Understand Collaborative Opportunities.
